2 Types of Website Traffic
Getting decent (if not truckloads) of website traffic is
absolutely important to any small business, whether you're
selling your own products, affiliate marketer, or network
marketer.
Good, targeted traffic is the lifeblood of any successful
business. As far as I am concerned, there are only 2 types
of traffic that matter to your home business website, JUNK
traffic and REAL traffic.
Junk traffic is untargeted, mass traffic.
This is the most unprofitable category of web site traffic,
simply because this type of traffic includes people who are
not looking for your product, service or anything that you
can offer. They just ended up on your site, with or without
knowing how or why.
Then YOU have to convince them why you think they need your
product or service. In most cases, people in this category
are truly not interested in your business, simply because
they do not need it.
Real Traffic is people who are in need of your
product or service, or could use it as a complimentary product
for what they are looking for. This is the most valuable category
of traffic that every Internet marketer dreams of having, because
you have web site visitors who are receptive and willing to listen
to what yu have to offer. They may not actually buy your product
or click through to your affiliate website, but at least you have
an audience!
A simple anology...............
You're selling natural cleaning products for small or medium
sized offices. In a great marketing effort, you go up to
10,000 people on the streets and start giving them your
sales pitch on how your products can help them.
There is a BIG possibility that most of these people will
simply ignore you, or even worse, curse you in your face.
Most of them do not even own a business, and so are completely
uninterested in what you have to offer.
Then you come across another guy selling similar products,
and you make your sales pitch to him. He kicks you in the
stomach and walks away uninterested...
He's got problems of his own... |
